The LOOK

As I turned , your question caught my breath,   A flutter in my chest, a dance with fleeting death.   Eyes of the crowd like stars, yet yours alone held sway,   Time stilled, a frozen tide, as your gaze bade me stay.   My smile bloomed unbidden, warmed by your gentle light,   Like that first glance we shared, when leaving felt not right.   Each dawn I linger softly, craving one glimpse of you,   Your absence cloaks the world in gray, my heart’s bright hue subdued.

Its a BLUE Day

A call’s cold echo left my heart adrift,   Hollow as whispers in a shadowed rift.   I called him near, to hunt through wilds unknown,   Two souls, one path, where seeds of trust were sown.   Through tangled trails, our words wove deep and true,   Each step a bridge, each thought a tender hue.   Then, lo—a path where beauty spun its art,   The sky ablaze, a canvas of the heart.   Colors danced vivid, swirled in fleeting streams,   Stirring within me light, like waking dreams.   I slowed my pace, entranced by heaven’s glow,   The world’s soft pulse, a moment’s sweet tableau.   The hues grew gentle, fading into calm,   And then his hand found mine—a quiet psalm.   Hand in hand, we walked, my spirit soared,   Cherished, adream, by love’s warm light restored.   The trail unfolded, ever-shifting, wild,   Yet wrapped in care, ...

A Door Knock…

Dawn spills soft light, a gentle nudge to rise,   Coffee’s warm kiss cradles dreams in my eyes.   Lounging on the sofa, phone’s glow in my hand,   The world hums low, a quiet, fleeting strand.   A knock sharp, sudden stirs the morning’s trance,   I leap, heart aflutter, to answer fate’s chance.   There he stands, a stranger, bright as a spark,   Cute as a button, igniting the dark.   His purpose is brief, a fleeting exchange,   I dash inside, heartbeats a touch deranged.   With his things in my hands, I return to his gaze,   He thanks me softly, steps lost in the haze.   Oh, but I linger, unwilling to part,   A question spills forth from my hopeful heart.   Time  flees , swift, yet I hold him in sight,   Till he turns the corner, dissolving to light.
